T-Mobile Cellular Site Hidden on Power Line Pole
This cellular antenna site is hidden in the rear parking lot of a Circuit City Store in Burlington, MA which directly abuts Rte. 128 / Rte. 95, near the end of Rte. 3.
Thanks to my girlfriend Amanda's sharp eyes for noticing the antenna mounted on a High Voltage Power Line tower.
Some close ups of the antenna arrays. Notice how they use the color coded tape during the installation process, to identify each cable and sector it is going to be attached to.
In the above photo, you can see where the trench was dug and conduit run to connect the Base Station to the antennas mounted on the
power line poles. Also, note the proximity of Rte. 128 / Rte. 95 in the background.
In the above photo, notice the two antennas mounted to the left of the Base Station cabinet. The antenna on the far left is a GPS antenna, the one
to the right (looks like a straight stick, with double yellow tape on connecting cable) is new. I am unfamiliar with this antenna.
The photo above and below are of an antenna that I assume are to backhaul the signal back to a (MSC) switch, or to another cellular site.
I am not sure if this is a microwave antenna, or another wireless data provider, such as Towerstream.
Above is one of the best ways to ID who is the owner of the cellular site you are looking at! :-)
