Verizon MTSO

I stumbled across this cell site, and what I believe is the regional Verizon Wireless MTSO while searching for cell sites in the Town of Billerica, MA.

I will not disclose the actual location in Billerica of the MTSO.

My belief that this is a Verizon Wireless MTSO is derived from the following:

1) The size and layout of the building, including what appears to be a large indoor diesel generator on the far left side of the building.

2) The two huge air conditioners in the front of the building, along with multiple smaller ones on the side and rear of the building.

3) The amount of copper and fiber optic cables going into the building.

4) The multiple microwave receiving dishes on the tower. Verizon and Cingular both use microwave backhaul in this area, and there is a Cingular Wireless tower with microwave dishes across the street from this facility.

5) The security (cameras, etc.) and non-descript heavy duty building, lead me to believe this is a regional MTSO.

Above and below you can see the front of the building. On the left hand side is a loading dock and what appears to be a diesel generator inside the building. There is also another smaller loading dock on the right hand side of the building. Note the two large air conditioners at the front of the building. There are also smaller units on the right side of the building, by the loading dock/dumpster.
